About The Tannenbaum-Sternberger Foundation
Helping Build Brighter Days by Improving the Quality of our Tomorrow
Born of the vision, foresight and generosity of Sigmund Sternberger, the Tannenbaum-Sternberger Foundation, Inc. is committed to improving the quality of life of residents of Guilford County, North Carolina. The Foundation maintains an annual scholarship program available to assist a limited number of permanent residents of Guilford County who are full-time undergraduate students at Bennett College, N.C. A&T State University, Greensboro College, Guilford College, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Guilford Technical Community College, Duke University, Elon University, High Point University, N.C. State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Wake Forest University and the North Carolina School of the Arts. Application is made through and awards are determined by the financial aid office at each school.
The Foundation also supports 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations providing services in Guilford County. Request for these grants is by written application submitted on the Foundation's Grant Application Form. New program initiatives, service expansions, capital improvements, special projects and other operating needs will be considered. Generally, the Foundation does not support campaigns to raise or increase endowments or annual fund solicitations.
